NFSI AlertNet™ will be powered by multiple secure API feeds from Municipal Police Services (local city and regional police), Provincial Agencies (such as the Ontario Provincial Police, Sûreté du Québec, and RCMP Provincial Policing), and Federal/National authorities including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), and Public Safety Canada, alongside data from Sound Sentinel Corporation’s ARUD systems.
When activated, NFSI AlertNet™ immediately delivers a localized warning to users within the affected danger zone ranging from one city block to a 20 kilometers radius, providing critical time-sensitive information such as the approximate location, time of breach, and, where authorized, via SSC ARUD an image of the person of interest.
Each alert includes clear, actionable safety guidance to help individuals make informed decisions, such as avoiding the area, securing schools or facilities, or sheltering in place.
“Wrong place, Wrong time” incidents in Canada and the US have killed about 450–550 people and have injured over 30,000 annually, with children, especially those under 10, disproportionately affected.
